It is the important supply of knowledge and ideas that make sense of a world in constant transformation. The WIRED dialog illuminates how expertise is changing each side of our lives—from culture to business, science to design. The breakthroughs and innovations that we uncover result in new ways of thinking, new connections, and new industries. Furthermore, by filling in the semantic void caused by the narrowing of that means of each ‘arts’ and ‘sciences’, ‘technology’ as a driver of change may now imply every little thing from applied science to broad industrial arts. It was this void that the term ‘technology’ would in the end fill.
